10 Striking Similarities Between the "ATIKUS"
By Adesoji Gabriel AngelGabby (S.A. New Media to the Ekiti State Governor)

What characterizes the "ATIKUS", referring to both the one from Adamawa and his counterpart from Ekiti, is a shared political DNA.

Here are ten undeniable traits they have in common:
1. Serial Contestants, Eternal Losers: They have never won any major election, and by all indications, they never will. They are defined by a perpetual cycle of running and losing.

2. Instant Flight Post-Defeat: The moment the election results are announced and defeat is secured, they vanish from the country. The Atiku of Adamawa flees to Dubai, while the Atiku of Ekiti jets off to Australia.

3. Political Nomadism: Both are notorious for jumping from one political party to another, perpetually seeking a soft landing or an opportunistic ticket.

4. Zero Regional Impact: Neither commands genuine grassroots influence in their home regions. The Atiku of Adamawa has failed to uplift his people, just as the Atiku of Ekiti has done nothing to elevate the people of Ikere.

5. The Post-Election Meltdown: As soon as they lose, they rush to television stations to abuse the electorate and express bitter regret for contesting. They will loudly claim they are done with politics, only to resurface the very next electoral season.

6. Deep Pockets, Poor Advisers: They possess massive financial resources and are always ready to throw money around, but they suffer from a chronic lack of quality advisers to guide them.

7. The Signature Look: Physically and metaphorically, they are both distinctively heavy-set, sharing the classic look of a prominent potbelly.

8. Clueless Under Scrutiny: They sound like experts when criticizing current leaders, but the moment you ask them for concrete solutions, they sound incredibly shallow and empty. Power should never be tested with them; they would perform woefully.

9. Overreliance on Financial Might: They operate under the delusion that money can buy anything, right up until they realize they cannot buy the voters because their manifestoes are completely hollow.

10. A Legacy of Defeat: Ultimately, they will be remembered not for the impact they made, but for the sheer volume of ballots they cast in vain.
